Vivo announces X50 flagship series for 2020 incorporating a gimbal-style camera which also happens to be the thinnest 5G phone ever. However, the main attraction for the series is its primary camera’s heavy-duty stabilization system. Which reportedly functions similar to an actual gimbal pivoted support.
Vivo compares this key feature as the eyes of a chameleon. This technology was advertised earlier on Vivo’s Apex 2020 concept phone.
Unfortunately, due to the on-going corona pandemic, the company was not able to show it off in person.
The top flagship model of the series X50 Pro+ utilizes Samsung’s new 50-MP ISOCELL GN1 sensor for the primary camera.
Moreover, the gimbal style camera uses an on-screen called the “radar” that describes the movement of the lens and indicates when a shot will be stable.
Vivo X50 Pro+ and X50 Pro also include periscope telephoto cameras. However, the X50 does not.

Full specs sheet have not been announced yet by Vivo.
However, we are aware of the fact that the X50 Pro+ has a Snapdragon 865 processor with the requisite X55 5G modem.
In addition, the screen supports 120Hz refresh rates and HDR10+.
Vivo boasts the regular X50 as the slimmest 5G phone ever at 7.49mm thick.
Moreover, the phone is planned to be mid-ranged and powered by a Snapdragon 765 processor.
This is pretty much all that has been reported by Vivo regarding this series for now. The exact price and release date is not known.
In short, we would have to wait for the devices to reach us before we could review them a bit better.
Although we are enthusiastic to try the new stabilization technology fitted in those phones!
