Borderlands 3’s Gameplay Reveal
Borderlands 3 New Features
The game starts off with a spaceship which is your base. The main quest is almost 30 hours. Players can even hijack enemy vehicles and offline play is supported. Other main features are discussed below:
Grenades: Previously grenades had bounce and they could stick to different things. This time, the grenade would fire guns along with previous features.
Artifacts: Artifacts add movements and can make one slide faster. For instance, one can slide every time when there’s an explosion.
Boss Fighting: There are a lot of different mini-boss and their encounters as well as multi-phase boss encounters throughout the game. It’s going to ‘vaults’ instead of ‘vault.’
Guardian Rank: (Previously known as Badass Ranks) Beside infinite progression like Badass Ranks, Guardian Rank has skills and various skins that you can open up as you progress. Moreover, every character gets the benefit of Guardian Rank that you play on that account. Players will unlock it at the end of Borderlands 3’s story, even if they are not at level 50. It has three categories: offence, defence and utility.
Guns: There are freeze gun and a rocket launcher that fires hamburgers. Apart from that, there’s a gun, that when thrown, turns into a bouncy bomb.
Borderlands 3 will include 4-player cooperation. If things go as planned, we may be able to play with friends on other platforms.
“Cross-play is something we’re looking at closely, but we don’t have anything to confirm or announce at this time”2K
One amazing feature which was much needed is that each player will get their own loot drops. So that means if you’re playing with greedy friends, you won’t be worried about them taking every good gun that drops. Although there will be an option to switch to Borderlands 2-style shared loot drops.
Borderlands 3’s Vault Hunters
Borderlands 3’s Vault Hunters are:
1. Amara: the Siren
2. FL4K: the Beastmaster
3. Moze: the Gunner
4. Zane: the operative
Other Character and Villains:
The debut trailer brings a lot of thrill and suspense to the players of previous Borderlands’ versions. There are many familiar faces like Lilith, Maya, Brick, Mordecai and Zero. Old foes include Tina, Marcus, Ellie, Sir Hammerlock and Claptrap. All this has been brought together by Gearbox for some big series climax.
There’s a glimpse of Calypso twins in the trailer as well, which are also known as Borderland 3’s big bads.
The twins are ‘like the douchiest kind of live streamers of the future you can possibly imagine.’Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox Software
It seems like these villains have taken away the powers of Lilith.
